The legendary Ukrainian musician, singer and composer, the frontman of the band “Skriabin” – Kuzma (Andrii Kuzmenko) will be portrayed on the finisher’s medals for the finishers of the main 21.097 km course at Grand Prix Lviv Half Marathon 2017 – the 2nd Lviv half marathon, which will take place on October 29 in the city of Lviv. Almost half of all respondents voted for the image of Kuzma – 47% of the votes. The second candidate received 15% of votes, it was Danylo Halytskyi, the founder of the city of Lviv.
We would like to remind that the vote took place on the official event website Grand Prix Lviv Half Marathon 2017. Creation of symbolic medals with images of prominent people of the city was initiated by the event organizers, the Run Ukraine company. A similar concept of use of an image of a prominent person was used in previous events of Run Ukraine Running League 2017 in Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa.
“Traditionally, we offered Ukrainians to choose the person who comes to their mind when they think of Lviv. Anyone could vote, regardless of the fact whether they participate in Lviv half marathon or not. The new medals will remind participants from various cities of Ukraine about true heroes. Kuzma is an idol not just for residents of Lviv. Every Ukrainian knows his name and his music. This way we continue our tradition of creating symbolic medals with portraits of prominent Ukrainians”, – says Marketing and Communication Director of Run Ukraine Viktoriia Veremiienko.

4-5 place: Bohdan Stupka – 6%.

6-7 place: Markiian Shashkevych – 5%.
8-11 place: Mykhailo Hrushevskyi – 2%.
8-11 place: Volodymyr Ivasiuk – 2%.
8-11 place: Andrei Sheptytskyi – 2%.
8-11 place: Roman Shukhevych – 2%.
