Raising funds for charitable causes has become an integral part of running events of the Run Ukraine company. Every year the events of the Run Ukraine Running League besides the sporting component also have a charity one, which aims to raise fund and involve the community in solving a particular problem.
This year the participants of the 2 km charity race of the 3rd Molokiya Lviv Half Marathon will be raising funds for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment for Yurii Lypa Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed. The hospital is a powerful medical diagnostic complex, created for provision of medical assistance to the disabled people and war veterans, family members of the diseased warriors, repressed, disabled children of war, liquidators of the Chornobyl accident, the elderly disabled. Here they provide specialized medical assistance in various areas, including orthopaedics and traumatology, however the hospital does not have enough rehabilitation equipment.
Anyone is welcome to join the fundraising by registering for the 2 km charity race at the 3rd Molokiya Lviv Half Marathon, which will take place on June 10. 50% of the registration fee will be transferred to the charity.
In 2018 the Run Ukraine company chose a direction to work on in the future. It will include not only raising funds, but it will also be laying the foundation of a healthy and sporting nation.
Last year the six running events in five cities of Ukraine, Ukrainians and visitors from abroad were raising funds for athletic prosthetics for ATO veterans as part pf the charity races “Winners”.
